Fox Floor Pan Install Pictures
But since it's a fairly popular topic among those of us who own these 20 year old cars, but there aren't many photos of the work, I think I'd throw a few in for help those who have the same soil rot problem. I had some motivation to go out and fix it. Even though it's hidden under the carpet, I don't just want to make the floor solid, but I want to install it factory style and make it look like it's never been replaced. Image quality is lacking, but you can sort of see what's going on. First cut to remove most of the rot. The piece I removed. The underside of this piece. I cut out the spot welds for the seat brackets after the photo and removed the brackets. A photo after the supports were removed, against the most convenient white surface I had available, to show all the rot that was there. the welds along the rocker. The spot welds and the floor all went along the rocker and the rear seat flips up. I'll have to add some material to the lip along the back seat, but that won't be a problem. The piece that came out. And you can see how strong the rockers are in this photo. And that's where I'm at now.Part 7 -Mustang Restoration: Floor Pan Replacement Continued
Once I'm happy with the fit, I transfer the form to my new floor replacement piece and remove the excess sheet metal. I use a short strand fiberglass putty after the replacement floor boards have been welded, when I want to blend the repaired floor surface into the existing sheet metal. Fox Body Floor Pan Replacement
I was originally going to replace the full length floor pans on both sides to solve this problem, but now I think there may be an easier and cheaper method. I thought I could just cut out the rusty parts and replace them with base sheet metal. Is there a good bonding agent or another method besides welding to achieve this?

joe65 said: This question has been asked before, and I'm surprised someone doesn't make pans for the sn95. I've looked into this a lot as the one I have now has floor issues, but I'm not really fit or physically able to swap the pans on it. Wherever I looked at the question, the answer I found was that foxbody pans are similar enough to sn-95 pans not to warrant producing pans specifically for the sn-95. That's just what I've been told I've never done it myself or never had it done so until we can hear from someone here who has fact, it's just hearsay until proven otherwise.# Images | Fox Body Floor Pan - Floor Pan Replacement Near Me
